Martial Strategy
Warriors of old were not uncivilized ruffians, but educated scholars who took time to study and practice many things, including martial strategy. By examining classic writings on martial strategy including "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu and "The Book of Five Rings" by Miyamoto Musashi, students at Dragon Moon Martial Arts Association begin to appreciate the value of martial strategy. Practical application is gained through the serious study and practice of classic war games such as chess, both in its western interpertation and in its original Chinese version known as xiangqi, and the ancient Hawaiian war game known as konane. Through such studies, Dragon Moon Martial Arts Association students learn that the strength and cunning of a warrior's mind is oft times more important than physical technique in determining victory or loss in a serious conflict.
