Dragon Moon® Kung Fu

The term "kung fu" means anything accomplished through time and effort. Hence one who arranges flowers skillfully may be said to practice "kung fu." In practical language, kung fu has come to mean the practice of Chinese martial arts. There are thousands of kung fu styles and each has its own unique characteristics. The style taught at Dragon Moon Martial Arts Association is known as Dragon Moon® Kung Fu and relies on fluidity of movement rather than brute strength to achieve its goals. For the practitioner of Dragon Moon® Kung Fu, flowing movement is the height of perfection.

Diligent practice of the martial, meditative and chi kung forms leads one away from the human tendency towards tension and stiffness when placed in a stressful situation. To free the body from tension also frees the mind.

Most individuals seldom engage in actual physical fights, but psychological confrontation is an everyday state of being. When one's mental state is relaxed, the mind is free to perform to the best of its ability. And freedom of the mind to respond from a relaxed state is one of the most important goals for students at Dragon Moon Martial Arts Association.
